We have an international reputation for architecture and interiors including landscaping, furnishings projects with knowledge-based solutions, imaginative designs and broad multi-cultural experience in our design concepts and technology. Our methods solve problems in Design, Budget and Construction and we take care of projects from day one to the completion of the built work, with hands-on attention from the partners of the firm. Through working with our clients and collaborators in a process-based method, our team delivers over and beyond our clients' expectations and garners international design recognition.
The firm’s work has received international awards such as Business Week/Architectural Record China Awards (US), American Institute of Architects Award (HK Chapter) among others, and currently our Art Supermarket gallery project has been selected as a finalist at theWorld Architecture Festival in Berlin, having been chosen from entries worldwide.
Notable publications include Architectural Digest magazine (US), Architectural Record magazine (US and China), Dezeen (UK based architecture/design website), SCMP newspaper (HK) among others.
The founders -- Shirley Chang (Design and Development), B. Christopher Bene (Technology and Construction) -- are registered architects with over 20 years of experience in New York and Hong Kong. Previous to their practice, they were trained at prominent firms such as I. M. Pei (NYC), Richard Meier (NYC) and SOM (NYC). Both contribute to architectural education through teaching at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and HKU Space as Adjunct Associate Professors of Architecture.
Both were invited in speaking engagements (such as 'China Next' symposium in Shanghai) and served as Judges for design competitions (such as World Architecture Festival 's Future Civic projects in Berlin, Germany; APIDA Asia Pacific Interior Design
Awards in Hong Kong, among others)
Both graduated with Master Degrees in Architecture. Ms. Chang from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Bene from University of Virginia.
